MBBS/Medical Admission in Nepal-

Nepal is a developing country in south Asia Region between India & China. The last almost two decades have found tremendous development in the number of Medical colleges in this country for Medical Admission in Nepal. The private colleges which are recognized /affiliated by Kathmandu University, Tribhuban University, B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences & other Universities, are established by both Nepalese & Foreign Groups(mainly Indians). Nepalese-owned schools provide 15 % and foreign owned schools 30% of the total seats with full tuition scholarship to students, who are selected through an entrance examination conducted by the ministry of Education (or TU,KU and BP Koirala). The students have to serve in health facilities in rural Nepal for two years after graduation and are becoming an important source of support to Nepal’s heath condition.Nepal hosts the permanent Secretariat of the south Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), of which it is a founding member.

There are only two universities- Institute of Medicine (IOM) under the Tribhuvan University (TU) and the Kathmandu University (KU) providing affiliation to medical schools here in Nepal. The BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) and the Patan Academy of Health Science (PAHS) are two autonomous academies conducting MBBS courses.

Admission Criteria - Students have to complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December, in order to apply for the particular year for admission to the MBBS course. 50 % Marks in Each subject like- Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 12th from Recognized Board.

Mbbs/ Medical Course in Nepal

It has four and half years Course. One year internship is compulsory. Total Duration is 4 ½ years (Four and half years)-Academy and 1 Year (one year)-internship.
