MBBS in Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria for NRI Students

  • The eligibility requirements that NRI students need to meet to apply for MBBS colleges in India. Applicants must be holding a valid passport
  • The seats offered under NRI Quota will only be allocated to bonafide NRI’s
  • Candidates must have qualified NEET 2022
  • Candidates applying under NRI sponsorship must have a real blood relation to the financial supporter, be it the mother, sister, father, brother, aunt or uncle.

  • Valid passport
  • Student visa
  • NOC from the Ministry of External Affairs, GOI (Government of India), New Delhi
  • Non-Objection Certificate issued by the Ambassador/ competent authority of the candidate’s country to allow their stay and study in India
  • Class X Marksheet Class X Passing Certificate
  • Marksheet of the Qualifying Examination
  • Vaccination Certificate
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Health Certificate
  • Migration Certificate
  • Health Insurance Certificate
  • Community Certificate
  • Passport size colour photographs of candidates (six copies)
  • Joint declaration by parent and the applicant as per the format

Important guidelines for the NRI candidates

The NRI students should follow certain guidelines to get admission in the NRI quota seats. These 15% seats in the AI counselling and state counselling will be shared along with the oreign nationalities competing for the medical admissions.

  • Though the candidates have completed their school education abroad, the students have to appear for the NEET exam and clear the exam with qualifying scores. They are eligible to apply for the counselling process only if they have appeared for the NEET examination.
  • at least one of the parents must be residing abroad as an NRI and should be residing outside India for a minimum of 5 years.
  • The student’s sponsor must have a first-degree blood relation with their financial sponsor.
  • In case the candidates are not having a parent or a first-degree blood relation, the following relations will be considered,
  • Uncle and aunt (Brother or sister of the father)
  • Maternal uncle or Maternal aunt (Brother or sister of the mother)
  • Grandparents (parents of the father or mother)
  • First degree paternal and maternal cousins
  • A proof of being the NRI sponsor of the candidate from the Indian embassy or residence proof from the residing country’s ministry is required.
  • To showcase the proof of their financial status, the bank passbook is required.
  • The valid ID cards of the financial sponsor like their passport, visa, work permit, etc are required as a proof.
