Eligibility for MBBS in India for the 2026 session counselling will be processed through the NEET UG exam 2026.

1. Academic Eligibility—

12th grade with physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology, and English subjects is also compulsory.

Minimum percentage criteria:

General category (open category) – Minimum 50% in PCB

OBC/SC/ST—Minimum 40% in PCB 

PwD Category: Minimum 45% in PCB

2. Exam: The Qualified NEET UG Exam (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) is mandatory every year. 

3. Age Limit—Medical aspirants must be 17 years old as of December 31st of the admission year. The maximum age is not considerable, as per the direction of the court.
