MBBS Admission in India 2026: Know about MBBS Eligibility, Admission Process & Fee details

As required, the core points for MBBS Admission in India are the following: –
Class 12 passed from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Biotechnology), and English as core subjects
Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB for General/EWS, 40% for SC/ST/OBC, 45% for PwD General
Valid NEET UG 2026 qualification at the required percentile
Minimum age of 17 years as of December 31, 2026
No upper age limit (removed by NMC in recent years)
These are mandatory across every medical college in India—government, private, deemed, minority, and NRI quota—without exception.

NEET UG 2026 qualifying percentiles:
General/EWS: 50th percentile.
SC/ST/OBC: 40th percentile.
PwD General: 45th percentile.
PwD reserved categories: 40th percentile

EWS reservation: It is for general category candidates from economically deprived sections. Eligibility:
Annual income of the family below ₹8 lakh (excluding agricultural income)

Family not an owner of residential plot of more than 100 yards in notified localities
